Welcome to HealingHearts Counseling

"We're never so vulnerable than when we trust someone, but parodoxically, if we cannot trust, neither can we find love or joy."

Hello, and welcome to my website. My name is Bobbi Edwards and I have been in the counseling field since 1974. The type of therapy I do is behavioral, emotional, and intellectual. I help people be accountable for their lives by understanding where their struggles come from...and working through them. It's not about blaming parents and/or family; it's about understanding, and therefore, having compassion for ourselves as well as others.

I work with people who have addictions, stage 2 recovery, codependents, relationship issues, family of origin work, and anyone who is struggling with life changes. There are many layers of behaviors we do unconsciously that keep us "stuck" in life. I can help you if you are aware that you need to make changes and are willing to do the work both through education and therapy.

My intent is to uplift and assist you in finding the happiness you want and deserve. Nothing pleases me more than to help people let go, and to uplift you to a place where you can focus on something meaningful to you; a place where you can own your own well-being and live life to its fullest, as a whole, healthy person.

"The more I understand, the more empowered I am, which takes me out of the victim role."

My job is not to tell you what to do, but to guide you by helping you understand where your survival behaviors (scripts) come from. It's up to you to make the changes, if you choose to. It's my desire to be a catalyst of empowerment and enlightenment to help you on your path of healing your heart in a gentle, caring, safe place.
